Please use Scrip!! Unfortunately due to the economy, there has been a reduction in scrip participation. With that being said, we do know that everyone still needs gas and groceries. We have also seen a decrease participation in these two areas that everyone spends a significant amount of money on each month. Participation in scrip is not adding to your monthly budget but just using your scrip cards when you make those purchases. Please prayerfully consider using scrip to make those everyday purchases. With all of us working together we can make a difference! The last two years the scrip program has generated over $58,000 for our school and our children’s education.

Remember using scrip gives you money toward your tuition. The cut off for this year is April 30. Letters will go home middle of May. After that date, scrip credits will start accumulating for next year.

***Very important changes to you Kroger Scrip

To use Kroger Community Rewards Program as of 5-1-10:

Everyone (including family members that use OLV kroger scrip) must RE-ENROLL or register your Kroger Plus card at krogercommunityrewards.com. Kroger will be using the Kroger plus card to track purchases but the card must be registered and linked to OLV.
To re-enroll in Kroger Community Rewards visit www.krogercommunityrewards.com click Michigan and click on enroll. Enter organization #83031. MUST BE DONE AFTER APRIL 1st and BEFORE APRIL 30!!
Click on sign in/register.
Click sign up today in the new customer box.
Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
You will receive an email, click on the link within the body of the email.
Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
Click on Edit Kroger community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number. Confirm your information.
Enter organization #83031, select organization, from list and click on confirm.
To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your information page. OLV will also appear on your receipt.
Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
Members must swipe their Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.

Scrip is a gift card program that is a fundraiser for our school and earns YOU tuition credits!!! The best part is that is doesn’t cost you any more than you would already spend. All gift certificates are sold at face value, so you receive dollar for dollar of what you spend. Last year the program generated $29,000 is revenue for our school. Thank you! Let’s get back into the routine of buying Scrip and using those rechargeable grocery cards. Working together makes a huge difference.

Scrip News

There is a new tuition credit program this year, 30% of the money that you generate by using scrip will be credited to your tuition payment on May 1, 2010. You will receive a statement that shows how much credit you will be given. As an example the following table show actual profit and rebates earned by 4 different families utilizing scrip last year:

The program started June 1, 2010 and ends April 30, 2011.
Eighth grade families can use the credit to pay for the 8th grade class trip.
In stock scrip sales are on Friday's in the Church atrium from 8:30-10am. and once monthly at all masses. Check the bulletin for dates.
Order forms come home bi-weekly, are available on-line and in the office.
Orders are due on Monday and will come home in the oldest child’s backpack on Friday.

Please pay by check or cash whenever possible. There is a fee of 2% to use credit cards. This fee will be deducted from your scrip profit. Corporate or company credit cards are not accepted. The fees can be as high as 3.5%.

Groceries Groceries Groceries!!!!!

Please use those rechargeable grocery cards. If you don’t have one, GET ONE!!
Hiller’s has a no balance rechargeable card. You simply load the card at the service desk or in line before the groceries are scanned. OLV receives 5% of your purchase. For example, for every $100 you spend Hiller’s gives us $5. Of that $5 you get $1.50 off your tuition! Imagine how fast that adds up. Kroger works the same but the cards have to be bought for $5 and have $5 on the card. Busch’s also is a $5 card and has a $5 balance and gives 5% on purchases with cash, check or debit cards. If you choose to pay by credit card the percentage is 3%. Whole Foods is also available in $50 cards, but is not rechargeable. If you have any trouble with your card please stop by and get a new one from the Scrip representatives.
