Simply put, Conversion is not a one-time event. It is a lifelong turning away from sin and toward Jesus Christ…again and again and again. In other words, every day.
The glorious season of Easter concludes on Pentecost Sunday when we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. From that day on, the Apostles went out to spread the Gospel and convert the world, and we are called to do the same today. The OLV Men's Prayer Breakfast will offer a six-part series entitled Conversion: Following the Call of Christ. Bishop Robert Barron presents six biblical stories of conversion showing how six average people met Jesus, in the midst of simply living their lives, and were then called to lead a better life by following Him. Following each video presentation, Prayer Breakfast attendees can participate in small group discussions. All men of the parish are invited, and you are also welcomed to bring a friend or relative.
