Let's Keep OLV a Safe Environment!
Our Lady of Victory Parish is committed to the safety of all children, youth, and vulnerable adults on our campus. It is our responsibility to provide an environment which is safe and nurturing for all.
In compliance to the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Safe Environment Policy:
1. OLV requires that ALL school and church volunteers complete the Virtus Protecting God’s Children training.
2. Have a State of Michigan background check on file.
3. New to the policy is the requirement that those who completed the Protecting God’s Children training greater than 3 years ago will need to complete an online recertification session.
REGISTRATION takes place online. Please visit www.virtusonline.org to register:- RECERTIFICATION: Online training module that can be completed within the website.
- FIRST TIME Protecting God’s Children Training: Choose a ZOOM live session OR an onsite in-person
training.
Volunteers are an important part of our faith community. Safe Environment training and background checks must be completed by all OLV volunteers participating on campus.
PLEASE NOTE: this includes parent helpers at the school and on field trips, catechists, coaches, money counters, choir members, luncheon/event ministries, EME/lecturers/ushers, and members of all OLV ministries—any person who wants to serve our Parish.Thank you for all that you do to keep our children, youth and vulnerable adults safe! -
