Are you someone with an unexpected pregnancy or
a parenting mom, dad, or family in need or someone who is struggling with the decision to have an abortion? You are not alone.Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide effort to increase outreach and support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. At Our Lady of Victory, we can also support parenting dads and families in need.
WHAT WE DO:
We provide pregnant women and parenting moms, dads, and families in need with the ability to connect to a community that will provide authentic relationships, genuine dialogue and intentional accompaniment.
HOW WE DO THAT:Our Walking with Moms in Need volunteers will return your call and listen carefully to understand your immediate needs and concerns. Then if necessary and when you are ready, they will work to connect you with other programs, services, and ministries within our Parish and community. -

We are called on by our Lord to lend a hand to pregnant and/or parenting mothers, fathers and families in need. Our goal is to develop and implement plans to connect and share resources and our God given talents with those seeking help.

Serve on the Parish Support Team
The Parish Support Team receives monthly newsletters that contain information about Walking with Moms in Need (WWMIN), up and coming events, and up and coming volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer at a Local Pregnancy Center
We are looking to partner with local Pregnancy Centers. Contact wmominneed@olvnorthville.net for a list of current centers with their volunteer opportunities.
Be a WWMIN Mentor for Parenting Moms, Dads, or Grandparents.
WWMIN values the experience of parenting moms, dads, and other family members that have assumed a parenting role. Register to take the Into Life class. More information about the WWMIN Mentor program is available in the Into Life class.

Provide financial support for a pregnant mom in need.
Our local pregnancy centers occasionally identify a pregnant mom in need of support ranging from a meal card to ongoing financial support during their pregnancy. If interested in meeting this need, send an e-mail to wmominneed@olvnorthville.net and we will put you in contact with a pregnancy center that has notified WWMIN of a need such as this.

Supporting Walking with Moms, Dads, and Families in Need
Our Lady of Victory Catholic Parish provides support to Walking with Moms in Need by providing pastoral support and guidance, meeting rooms for our Core Team and other activities involving teamwork; and providing administrative support through their talented and knowledgeable staff.
Supporting Local Pregnancy Centers
Within our WWWMN Core Team we have a Material Needs Team led by Merri Cullen who coordinates the activities of liaisons who are assigned to each of our local pregnancy centers; holds clothing, food, and diaper drives; conducts fundraisers for local pregnancy centers and community support groups; and organizes baby showers for pregnancy centers and local organizations that services moms and their babies. Occasionally volunteers are needed to help organize and work at these events and sort and deliver donations.
Creating a Mentorship Program
That will expand our outreach to local pregnancy center clients and other catholic service centers to help support the spiritual needs of their clients.If you are interested in joining our group of volunteers, or participating in our Into Life class, please contact wmominneed@olvnorthville.net.

12-Week Training Program
Our volunteers complete a 12-week program entitled Into Life: Love Changes Everything. The Sisters of Life and the McGrath Institute for Church Life teamed up with CampCampo Films to create an original 12-part video series based on the work of the Sisters serving women who are pregnant. Journey with the Sisters of Life as they explain what it means to walk with a woman who is pregnant and vulnerable. Learn what it means to deeply listen to and understand the heart of another, how to rejoice in the beauty of the individual person, and what it means to truly accompany someone into God’s life and freedom. This video series is designed to help participants recognize the value of their own life and lives of those around them.
Every life is a gift. Every person is made in the image and likeness of God. Every woman deserves to be cherished in her maternity. We need to uphold one another. Pro-life isn’t about labels. Pro-life is about people.
